Waivers
A Waiver, also called a Statement of Non-assessment, is a form produced by the Collector’s Office which
states that the owners of the vehicle being registered are clear of any tax liability.
To apply for a waiver, you must have an account on file with the Assessor’s Office. You can search for an
account
here. If you do not have an account, please call
the Assessor’s Office at
(417) 868-4101 (option 1).
If you have an account established with the Greene County Assessor's office and need a waiver for vehicle registration purposes, please send an email to [email protected].
The subject line should include your name and account number. Attach a picture (jpg, png, pdf) of the front and back of the vehicle’s title or non-Missouri registration.
Please copy and past the questions below and provide answers in your email:
- What is your full name? Has your name changed in the last five years?
- What is your street address? Mailing address (if different)?
- Phone number and email address?
- How long have you lived in Greene County? If less than five years, what county or state did you reside in on January 1st of the previous five years?
- Have you paid personal property taxes in Missouri in the last five years? If so, which county?
- Has a vehicle been registered in your name in Missouri in the past five years?
As long as no additional information is required, Collector staff will reply to your email with a PDF waiver that can be used for vehicle registration.
